Mexico Government Scholarship 2023 (Fully Funded)

Introduction

The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) is inviting foreign citizens to apply for the Fully Funded Mexico Government Scholarship 2023. The scholarship is open to citizens of more than 180 countries and supports full-time Masters, PhD, Postgraduate Research, and Post Doctoral programs. This opportunity allows applicants to choose from over 80 Mexican Higher Education Institutions. The Mexican Government is grateful for those considering Mexico as their educational destination.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Mexico Government Scholarship 2023, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality from any of the eligible countries
  • Currently not living in Mexico

Application Process

To apply for the Mexico Government Scholarship 2023, follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the application in Spanish.
  2. Apply online at the Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA): https://sigca.sre.gob.mx

Required Documents

Applicants need to submit the following documents:

  1. Scholarship application form, duly completed and signed.
  2. Letter explaining the motivation to study or conduct research in Mexico (maximum 2 pages, Arial size 12, single line spacing).
  3. Curriculum vitae (maximum 3 pages, Arial font size 12, single line spacing).
  4. Letter of academic acceptance from the Mexican institution or response of the Higher Education Institution (HEI) regarding the application for admission (see Requirements section of the acceptance letter).
  5. Letter of commitment to return to the country of origin.
  6. Letter of acceptance of the terms of the Call.
  7. Copy of the birth certificate.
  8. Copy of a valid passport in color and in open book format or a government-issued photo ID.
  9. Copy of the medical certificate issued by a public or private health institution, with a maximum of 3 months prior to the application, confirming the applicant’s good health.
  10. Proof of advanced knowledge of the Spanish language (if Spanish is not the applicant’s mother tongue).
  11. Letter stating the truthfulness of the provided information, under protest to say truth.
  12. All documents and forms must be in Spanish or submitted with translations into Spanish.
